[/style]zoe is also competitive when it comes to attention, particularly that coming from her father and stepmother. due to the fact that her own mother died when she was quite young, zoe views her stepmother in the same way other girls might view their actual mother; zoe adores her and loves doing girly things with her, such as shopping. she is keen on impressing both parents and having their attention focused solely on her when they are around, as both are often quite busy, her father with work and her stepmother with social events. this competition is quite extreme with her quieter, less ambitious stepsister, isabella. zoe is adamant that she be viewed as the favourite of their parents and outshine her stepsister in every way, in spite of the younger girl's lack of competitiveness and desire to do anything aside from immerse herself in literature and acoustic music. this attention seeking behaviour extends to zoe's social life as well. she feels that it is essential for to have as many friends as possible and to control the conversation when with them. additionally, if she does not have a boyfriend to heap attention on her or to spend time with, zoe gets quite unhappy and, oftentimes, a bit irritable. |
