No one her knew her saw or understood the storm that brooded underneath AJ's skin every day of her life. She never told anyone. If she did they'd tell her that she needed to move on and let go but they had no clue what they were saying. They didn't understand. No one did. Except Liam. She told Liam in the chat that Dem had asked her to make their fake relationship arrangement real, and that she was apprehensive about taking the offer. She never said no, but she needed more time to process everything that was happening, even in her time of grieving. Dem, on the other hand, wasn't exactly the type of person to take no for an answer. Liam didn't respond well, still stricken with grief over the significance of the coming weekend, and decided to not talk to her at all. That's when her world began to crumble. She knew, she had to end it. She sat on the couch, Liam sitting across from her on the arm of he other chair, and texted Dem discreetly. They sent several texts back and forth, most of them with AJ sending the same answer over and over that they were over. It was over before it ever even really began, and although a part of her regretted it, the rational part of her knew that this was for the best, given the emotional state she was in. It was better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality, or at least that's what she had learned from being around Legacies. She thought he would understand, but he didn't. She sent one last text. "Sorry. I can't. Its over." AJ let her thumb hover over the send button for moment before taking a deep breath and pressing down hard on the touch screen. That was it. She had done it. They were over. [style= font family: arial; font-size: 10px; text-align:center; color: #252525; padding-bottom: 8px;] tagged: Dem | outfit: coming | notes: :[ [/style] |
