The stars are out tonight my dear [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: 0b0b0b; width: 399px; padding: 5 5 5 5px; border-bottom: 12px solid #768fa5; border-top: 12px solid #768fa5;]have you ever seen them so clear? Will had never been a confrontational sort of guy. He had never resorted to his fists or threats first at certain situations… so whilst some guys might have gone after the guy who had hurt their best friend that badly he had sat there with her for several nights in a row, talking to her and letting her cry and whatever else she needed. Don’t get him wrong, if he thought there was a need to warn Seth off he would, but only when he thought it was necessary. To most guys that might have seemed like the easier option, but he really didn’t mind sitting there with her instead. Besides, he was fairly sure that Astrid had gotten that part covered already.
Which was also why he had decided to forgo his own Valentine’s Day plans to go to the concert with Sky instead… he hadn’t actually told her beforehand that he’d actually been meaning to go to it with someone else, and didn’t plan on telling her either, because he knew that she would feel bad about it. It wasn’t like it was a serious date he had been going on anyway, so it wasn’t so bad cancelling… he had felt a little guilty though and promised the girl he would make it up to her at a later date, which was about all he could really do. Sky was his best friend and she needed him right now, and a date with a girl that he didn’t even think would turn into something serious wasn’t nearly as important as that.
Returning to where he had left her, two drinks in hand, one for her and one for himself, stopping next to her and handing her hers, taking a sip out of his own before he said anything. “On a scale of one to ten, how much would you regret bringing me with you to this if I started doing the robot when we get out onto the dance floor?” he asked, keeping a straight face the entire time he was talking. mae | 344 | outfit | wheee |

Skyla should be in New York right now with Seth. But that’s not where she was. That’s not what she was doing. Instead she was surrounded by happy couples at the Valentine’s Day concert. She did have her best friend though. He had stepped up lately. Coming to her room every night and trying to distract her. He cuddled her when she cried. And well he was just all around perfect. She was so glad that she had him. And if she had to be surrounded by happy couples she was glad that she was with Will.
She sat with her head resting on her hand waiting for him to return. She let her eyes scan the room, heart hoping that Seth was somewhere there. She knew that she shouldn’t get her hopes up. She knew she needed to distance herself from him, but she her heart yearned to be near him. That’s why after she had said goodnight to him the night before she had turned her phone off and given it to Will. It was the only way that she wouldn’t try to text or call Seth that day.
Skyla was brought from her daze when Will returned. She gave him a weak smile, taking the drink. She would try and be happy. That’s all she could promise. She was just glad the concert would be starting soon. ‘Um….one. But if you do the robot it means you have to dance every slow dance with me.’ She smiled a little wider taking a sip from her glass. She stood up with a deep breath and took his hand. ‘Let’s go get a good spot for the concert part.’ She tugged on his hand. The faster they were dancing the faster she would be able to forget everything else. He didn’t like seeing her sitting there, looking so dejected, but he really couldn’t blame her. Not after she had talked to him about it anyway, and she was his best friend, after all. Not that he lacked empathy towards anyone who wasn’t as close to him as Sky was, but it was different anyway. He was glad that she had given him her phone for the day, however, he knew that she still wanted to be friends with Seth at least but it was probably better for her to spend some time away from the other male, just until she got everything sorted out on her end, because he had seen what it had done to her and it wasn’t pretty.
“I’d say that’s a fair deal,” he replied, glad to see her smile widen a little at the joke, at least it was something, even if it didn’t seem like she was back to her usual self just yet, but then again he hadn’t been expecting her to, it would take more than a couple of days to fix this. He took a sip of his drink, setting it down on the table before looking over at her as she started speaking again, nodding when she took his hand and said she wanted to go to the dance floor. “Good plan. I need a good spot if I’m going to be breaking out all the good dance moves,” he said, standing up and letting her pull him along closer to the stage, where everything had been set up.
“Okay. Maybe I won’t do the robot. But I’ll still dance all the slow songs with you anyway,” he told her, once they had reached the dance floor and had found a spot to stand, looking down at her, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. It was hard, wanting to make her feel better but not quite being able to do it as well as he wanted to. It was just one of those situations. mae | 335 | outfit | wheee |

He really did know exactly how to make her smile. And even though Seth was still at the back of her brain, it wasn’t as bad. She actually felt like she could let go a little. Maybe even have a little fun. That was the point of the night anyways. Have fun with her best friend and see some great music. She was just glad that Will hadn’t had any plans. To her knowledge Will didn’t have any girls that he was involved in and she was positive he would have told her if he did have plans or that he liked some girl. They were best friends after all. ‘Ya lots of space so you don’t hit anyone. We wouldn’t want that.’ She laughed a little as they reached their spot, acting as if she was making sure there was enough room for him to dance.
‘You sir are the best.’ Sky smiled a bit more at Sky. She knew she had chosen right when choosing him as a best friend. Even if he had spilled that snow cone on her. That one spilt snow cone had led to such a great friendship though and she wouldn’t trade it for the world. She knew that when they graduated they wouldn’t be in the same city any more, but they would still have each other. She knew that she could call him at any time. And if there was a storm she would just have to get a stuffed animal and spray it with his cologne, call him on the phone, and fall asleep pretending he was right there. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: 101010; border: #262626 solid 10px; width: 515px; padding: 5 5 5 5px;]“I’m a very fair person, after all,” he answered, grinning at her. He could see her starting to relax more, which was good, and was what he had been aiming for. The thought of which also made him feel a little less guilty about cancelling on his date, if she was a lot happier by the end of the night it would definitely be worth it… not that going with her wouldn’t have been worth it in the first place, it just made cancelling easier. He still wouldn’t be mentioning it to Sky though, he knew she would feel bad that she had inadvertently pulled him away from it, but he had offered in the first place anyway and if he hadn’t wanted to he wouldn’t have offered, to be fair.
He laughed, reaching a hand up to run it through his hair as he spoke. “I think that should be plenty of elbow room… hopefully, I’ll try not to get too crazy with the dance moves anyway,” he replied, laughing. It felt good being here with her, actually, and he’d probably prefer it to the date he’d had planned… if he hadn’t had that planned he probably would have asked her if she wanted to go with him anyway, provided that she hadn’t had one either.
“I’m pretty good, I’ll admit… but you’re pretty awesome as well, you know,” he told her. “I wonder how long until they start playing… can’t wait to break out those dance moves.” - - - - - - - - - - it doesn't matter when we get back to doing what we do, 'cause right now could last forever just as long as i'm with you, you're just a daydream away, i wouldn't know what to say if i had you, and i'll keep you a daydream away, just watch from a safe place, so i never have to lose |

She knew that Will was a pretty fair guy. She had known him long enough to know that. Even if in this situation it was all joking around. She really was glad to have him around though. He was making her feel a lot better than she had originally when they first had arrived. Will had that tendency though. He would just show up and make everything else seem far away and like it didn’t matter. And it didn’t really matter because she had Will and what more could she ask for when she had her best friend by her side.
‘I’ve seen you dance Will. You would need to tone it down a lot to make sure you didn’t hit someone while dancing,’ she replied with a laugh. Will was in no sense of the word a dancer, but he would dance. Sky made him dance with her all of the time. Mostly because she adored dancing and what fun was dancing without having someone to dance with? Even if one person actually was trained in dance while the other was just running around being silly. ‘Ya but you’re basically the most awesome person I know.’ That was true. Will trumped everyone. Although, she was biased since he was her best friend. ‘I’m sure it will be soon,’ she replied as she watched roadies and techies scurry across the stage to finish the final set up before the first band took the stage. He wasn’t actually that bad of a dancer, but he was more prone to just letting go and having fun and not really caring whether or not he was actually dancing well. Slow dancing was easy though, it was like the most basic of them all and that he could do well. And his mother had taught him how to waltz a few years ago for a wedding that they’d had to go to, which he could also do decently, but he didn’t think he would have to crack that one out at something like this.
He didn’t necessarily agree with her when she said he was the most awesome person she knew… he knew he had flaws and he had never been one to think big of himself to begin with, so maybe that was why he didn’t quite take it completely. So he just looked over at her, smiling again, bouncing on the balls of his feet. “Well, I doubt they’re going to be much longer but considering they decided to stick this thing outdoors in the middle of winter, the sooner the better, just so neither of us end up as human popsicles at the end of the night.” and I'll keep you a daydream away, just watch from a safe place, so i never have to lose, we would go out on the weekend to escape our busy lives, & we'd laugh at all the douche bag guys chasing down their desperate wives, i would drink a little too much, you'd offer me a ride & i would offer you a t-shirt & you would stay another night |

Her and Will could get a little weird at times, but that was the fun of it. They meshed so well as friends that it was easy. They got along well and didn’t really have to worry about what others thought. Sky had never really ever worried about what other people thought and this was no different than any other time. She was going to have fun with her best friend regardless of the weird looks that they would likely get from the people around them.
She just nodded a little with a smile on her face as she started to hear screaming. She figured that meant that the band was finally coming out so she jumped up a little to try and see. It was hard in heels and being so short to try and see it but she did finally notice four boys walking on stage in front of the screaming fans. She yelled happily along and bounced a bit more before looking back at Will with a huge smile. As they started playing Sky turned around and took Will’s hands to start dancing, mostly jumping around letting her hair flail in her face.
