The Notes LET'S DO THIS Knowing your best friend wasn't actually as easy as books and movies made it seem. Books and movies made it seem like you knew the person inside-out because you spent all your time with them, and that nothing could ever go wrong when you were with them; after all, you knew all about them and would never offend them or anything... Right? Well, mostly wrong for other people and right for Dani. He grinned when he realized that Helena's favorite foods were in the basket, even if she'd forgotten one or two... The fact was that the two she'd mentioned as her favorites were in that basket right now, and that was all that mattered. He pulled the sushi out and the strawberries too, and then pulled out guacamole and a few other things he remembered Helena saying "I LOVE THIS" when eating them. He put them around themselves and then imagined himself leaning forwards and kissing Helena's cheeks, forehead, nose, lips. He imagined himself saying "I love you, I just want you to be happy." He imagined her arms wrapping around himself as she confessed her own love. He imagined being happy with her forever. With a hard gulp, he turned back to reality, and the food that surrounded them, and offered it to her to start eating.
"Ladies first." He tried to smile, hoping that it didn't look as helpless as he felt. What was he supposed to do with all these feelings? Was he just supposed to keep them buried inside of him? How? He'd never noticed them before, bubbling inside him as they were, but now he was painfully aware of them, of their acuteness. Now, he was painfully aware of the strength of his before "platonic" feelings for Helena; he was aware that he was being consumed body and soul by this raging pain in the center of his heart. How was he supposed to live through this? He looked up at her and she smiled and he'd never seen anything more heartbreaking and beautiful and he realized that he would live through this inferno and back if it meant Helena would stay by his side, even if it was just as friends. "By the way, I love you Hels." |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] And at last I see the light And it's like the fog has lifted The Words: what? The Outfit: HERE! The Notes we are doing it; wooo! Helena smiled when he began to pull out the food from the basket; she clapped her hands a little and happily looked at him while he set things down. She couldn't help but feel extremely amazed that he actually knew her favorite food, it really caused her to notice just how much he knows her and how he pays perfect attention to what she does or rather, what she says most of the time. Helena moved to grab some of the food and from that moment on it was perfect in her mind while she took a bite of this or that. Simply talking to him about fun things like, dancing, movies, music and all those type of things. She also continued to talk to him about how acting was going with him. She liked this and maybe they ought to do it more often, maybe not renting a boat and all that but surely just spending time together and eating a little some good food from time to time. yes that is what they both need, maybe one day they could invite Nolan to come with them as well, since he is actually helping him with the food after all.
"Dani, remind me to say thank you to Nolan next time I see him" Helena mentioned with a smile on her lips. A moment later she moved to grab his hand, linking her fingers with his. She quickly leaned forward and kissed his cheek. "You are great and I can't thank you enough for this" she then glanced up and chuckled. "Let's watch the stars, I don't want to leave just yet" she lay down and then pulled him so he was laying down with him as well. She moved to turn and look at him. "I mean it Dani, today was... it was just what I needed" she smiled at him and then turned to look at the stars once more; she continued to hold his hand, just watching the stars at the moment and not wanting to do anything else. Just doing this made her realize how small everything actually was and that everything she was feeling will eventually pass. This wasn't the end of the world right? And this feeling will eventually stop, right? Oh God how she hoped so, but at least she had friends to be there all the way with her. At least she as Dani, and that is clearly more than she deserves. This is the perfect way to end this day. |
