S E C O N D A R Y
likes: double doubles, summer, skating, math, patterns, even numbers, memory foam pillows, nice smelling girls, aviators, weed, napping,
dislikes: the fact that there isn’t tim hortons here, using Fahrenheit instead of Celsius, stupid Canadian stereotypes, physics, trying to do math in his head, pineapples, strawberries, sleeping supplements, when the oilers win, power outages, chapped lips.
aspirations: to graduate with a 4.0 gpa, to spend a few months on his own in Europe, to inherit his family’s money
motivations: to see his brothers reaction, his own self-determination, to keep his parents happy
fears: failure, having an anaphylactic reaction, dramatic change in his life
key traits: energetic, cunning, intelligent, pothead, devious, adventurous, lionhearted
personality: Ethan is ready to take on every day as it comes. He craves to do something new in hopes he’ll eventually find something that truly drives him. His current goal in life is to find that, and at the young age of sixteen he had yet to be successful. Adventure is something he craves, and the copious amount of traveling he's done over his youth has yet to quench it. He’s extremely brave, leaping head first in to everything he does without much thought. Impulsive is certainly a word that can be used to describe him, but he's smart enough not to get himself in to risky situations. Despite his quick thinking, he's a smooth operator with an even smoother tongue - he's got it figured out how to talk his way out. He’s a bit cheeky, but it’s a part of who he is. He wants to make people smile and feel happy, in that sense he’s a people person at best. Despite his high energy, enthusiastic manner, he’s not a very stressful person and doesn’t create a tense environment. He’s loud and optimistic, he’s certainly a glass half full individual.
When it comes to friends, Ethan has a tendency to use people for his own needs and entertainment then fade away when he's bored. He's a bit fickle in that sense, unless someone truly captivates him. He loves to make people laugh, and to those he’s close to he’d go the extra mile for them. Though generally very easy to get along with, Ethan will try and ruffle feathers just to see what happens when he’s bored (his older brother is an often target for such things) but he’s not a very aggressive, argumentative person. Conflict is something he tries to stray from with the exception of the occasional bickering; he doesn’t allow it to ever get much further than that. The people that stay close to him are put in highest priority besides himself, there is a certain air of selfishness that will never leave him. He’ll never be a truly loyal individual; when he it comes to fight or flight he’ll always try and save himself rather than those around him. It can be questioned if that’s because he doesn’t want to let his parents down; Ethan’s trying his hardest to become the golden child in hopes his parents will leave a majority of their money to him when the time comes.
He’s set goals for himself and has the motivation to get there; he’s determined to graduate with a 4.0 GPA. With the claim of a photographic memory, school is certainly something that he excels at; academics are his forte, whereas sports are not. He isn’t the most athletic by any means; there isn’t a sport he excels at. Running is more work than it’s worth to him, and there’s no doubt that he’s lazy when it comes to sports. If there’s one thing Ethan can truly be faulted at, it’s his liking for smoking – he smokes a lot more weed than he probably should, but he doesn’t think much of it. He still keeps his grades right up, so he feels that it isn’t an issue as long as he keeps it under lock and key away from parents (which proves to be hard over the holidays). Perhaps a bit of his stress free nature is from the quantities he smokes, but he isn’t going to stop and find out.
family tree: Adrian Tremblay (Dad), Delphine Tremblay (mom), Charlie Tremblay (brother)
history: Ethan is the youngest in his family of four, following a year behind his older brother. His parents had settled down in St Johns, Newfoundland shortly after his birth, and he’s a bit reluctant to call the quaint town his home. Their family was one that travelled often during his youth, and Ethan quickly realized there was much more to the world than what he was provided in St Johns. The thrill of going to new places was something that he had grown addicted too, he loved to press his small hands against the window of the plane was they took off, watching as the town underneath him grew smaller and smaller.
Restlessness is something he’s always had, he craved to not stay in one spot for long - returning to his hometown was always something that proved to be a disappointment. The same people, the same things, Ethan wanted much more than what he could be given here even from a young age. The chilled tang of ocean air was quickly something that became a head ache for him; a lot of his time spend longing for somewhere else.
He always kept his head down and his hopes up high, something he had quickly learned from his father. His hearing was always very selective growing up; there were only certain things that he took in from his lectures. He tried his hardest to stay blended in with the town folk, being as charming as he could be with the goal in mind to get what he could out of the people he deemed his friends – except he was fully prepared to let himself fade away when he squeezed every possible use out of them. He had always been a devious child with plans, though they weren’t necessarily good ones.
Being sent to Videlict had only temporarily settled him, the first year was something new and exciting – but it quickly grew redundant after a fast paced summer away. He’s quickly fallen back in to a comfortable routine at the school, but he’s counting the days until he’s done for good (knowing his parents would never let him transfer elsewhere) so he can continue his adventures of seeing the world through an exchange program in university.
