[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] what if today we just smile, and enjoy life? The Words: what? The Outfit: HERE! The Noteshappy posts yay n.n ! Helena had been wishing for this day off, it was nice to know that she could just have a good moment with a friend which was why she had called Dom to find out if he was free for the day so they could just have some fun together since Helena feels like they both deserve a day off; hopefully he would be able to have even more fun since he is the one who need it; at least in her opinion. Either way she was parking down the car as she arrived at the beach; smiling brightly for it reminds her of Los Angeles; gosh she misses her home town so very much. Now there was absolutely no way for her to go visit her grandparents though, and God knows that she needs them right now. Her grandpa would know exactly what to say to make her feel better, they could go and sit at their spot, have him bring her some good and just talk. God she misses them so much, but missing them wasn't going to do anything for her, it would only make her feel more sad. So instead she is going to be happy right now and do her best to not care about the world. Helena stepped out of the car and moved to grab the basket she had brought with her. This was going to be nice.
As she walked down to the beach she could feel the sand creeping into her sandals and she smiled, momentarily considering taking them off but she decided against it. Her eyes squinting a little while she looked around through the complete dark sunglasses. Seriously, she is certain the person looking at her was unable to see her eyes through them. The reflection of the sun on the water was able to hurt her eyes a bit but she ignored it, this was not the time to care for such tiny thing. Once she found a good spot she dropped the blanket and the basket, smiling a little as was pleased with the spot. Her hands moved to the phone and she quickly texts Dom to let her know exactly where she was. A smile on her lips while she hit sent and then turned to walked further, closer to the water. It was then that she did took off her sandals and began to walk. The day wasn't terrible cold which was whys he was wearing shorts and a hoodie. Plus if it got too cold she always had a blanket. Helena picked up her sandals and reached the water line, not letting it touch her because it was probably freezing. But she so wanted to just step over the few rocks she could see in order to look around better. This also reminded her of Los Angeles, and all the things she used to do with her friends and family.
Friends. Speaking of friends she couldn't help but think back on the day before. When Dani had accidentally kissed her. It had been odd, for the both of them. To miss a kiss on the cheek and end up on the lips wasn't really common but it happens. Not that it has ever happened to her until now. It was quick, simple, a flash but it had happened. Her mind so deep in thought that the light wasn't even hurting her eyes anymore even when she was staring at the water. Suddenly thinking back to when he had asked her what she would do if he was to kiss her; sure those two events had very different contexts but now they know. Her eyes would grow big and they would both blush then act lke nothing happened; she heard noise; instantly turning around to see Dom. The image of Dani still floating at the back of her head and she bit her lower lip. "Dom!" she called out for him, trying to distract herself from her thoughts.A smile quickly appearing. Once he was close enough she spoke again. "I am so glad you agreed to this" |

His helmet looked as if it was smoking, as he was doing exactly that inside his helmet. He got some funny looks, but he enjoyed himself. He was making his way to the beach, a rather large plastic box held the chicken he was really good at making. He never really exposed how well he did his chicken, he helf it to himself, it was a family recipe, and he was sure nobody else liked it, but he made it anyway, might as well start now then later.
Once he parked himself at the lot, he took off his helmet, the remaining smoke escaping from him, he chuckled softly, popping a quick mint and making his way with his food towards what he was now given as a location at where Helena was. He made his way, seeing the small figure playing or atleast looking at the water. This slightly reminded him of home, Brazil. The beaches were paved with white, almost infinitely small grains, beautiful women asking for back rubs from macho men. He would always try and sell umbrella's as a small source of income, and give him something to do rather than mope around and think of his parents. Once he was in earshot, she saw him pretty quickly, and she yelled out in her petite voice. He could only smile and wave shyly. Once he got close enough, she spoke again, and he only shrugged, a shy grin growing “Oh it's no problem, I think we both deserve this.” he said with a slight chuckle, his sandals flying off as he looked for someplace to place his tuberware. “I brought some food, if that's fine, I get hungry a lot...” he shyly laughed, trying not to be awkward. Helena was glad to have Dom here now; she wanted to be able to spend a nice time with him because she feels like they both need it. Sure she doesn't work as much as he does, because she actually has the time to go to bed at a somewhat decent hour; but then again after speaking with him the other day she feels like he needs to be able to take a day off and relax. What he said about his parents, she understands that, everyone wants to be good enough for their parents. She wanted to be the best she can be for her grandparents, maybe even her mother, surely she would want to do the same for her father if he cared about her. But that was not the point; no thinking about her father or else tears will run and she just needs a happy moment. February had started so amazingly great and then dropped to the lowest. So this new month needed to be better, much much better. Her smile never faded, not even as all those thoughts ran through her head. She needs to be happy, she needs to be there for her friends.
"No that's fine, I brought some as well" Helena mentioned with a nod of her head and then moved to guide him over to where she had set down her things. "So, we can actually have a rather good picnic after exploring around for a bit" she said to him with a smile while she motioned to the basket that had been placed over the blanket. She smiled as her eyes went to look at Dom once more, she hoped he wouldn't mind that she had done this. Helena is the type to like to plan things sometimes, and she had taken the time to think what they might need for this day; if they were going to be out for a while then they needed food, and drinks, so she has some of that. His chicken can be added to the entire thing; the more the merrier. "I just really feel like exploring the beach, I used to do it all the time back at Los Angeles, and I haven't been able to do it here so...I was hoping you wouldn't mind" half of her was wanting to sit and eat, the other wanted to explore, but if they go to explore first then they will be hungrier and then they could enjoy he food more than if they were to eat at this very instant. Yes, with some luck he will agree to her. If only the water wasn't so incredibly cold she would be rushing to it, splashing around and just enjoying the moment. Gosh she wished the sunny day was enough to make the water warm up; but that wasn't the case of course, and so she wasn't about to dive into the water, because if she is to do so, she will most likely end up freezing to dead. |

No, she should be able to move on by now, and besides, he couldn't see her sad like she was. And when she spoke, he snapped out of his daze, looking at her with a soft smile, wondering what she was planning. Exploring? Hmm.
When she explained her reasoning, he could only agree, it would be fun he supposed, her heard there were some nice spots to chill at and around here. He only shrugged, a small smile leaking out. "I don't, I haven't walked on the beach in awhile." He nodded, walking to be beside her, then farther out to the beach, watching the water roll up to barely touch his feet, he looked back to Helena, then side to side "Which way?" He raised a brow, not sure if she had someplace she wanted to go.

Exploring, yes. That is what she wants to do because back at Los Angeles she has that certain spot with her grandfather, and she has no spot here. Well she does, that garden at the top of the rooftop of the building near the mall but she hasn't been there in a long time an she is not about to go there soon either. So she wants one here at the beach, it will be like a link to her past which she highly needs at the moment. A small sigh escaped her lips while she looked down at the sand, she wishes to be back at LA, she misses everything about that place, now more than ever. She wasn't going back though, she was going to stay here, and she was going to live and be better and make her grandparents proud. After all they have done for her, she feels like they deserve it. She took this moment to smile, she should focus on the positive side of things instead of the sad ones. So with that her eyes turned to look at him with a nod of her head. She wasn't sure why she was nodding; it was probably more of a nod to herself rather than him.
"I say we should head over there" Helena motioned over to the left and began to walk with him, she slipped off her sandals and picked them up before throwing them away for them to land near the blankets. Then as if nothing had happened she continued to walk "I really like the beach, I love the sound of the ocean" she mentioned, just making random conversation, or saying things without real deep sense to them. "Oh look, we can step on those rocks" Helena brighten up a bit, walking a bit faster as she reached the spot with several rocks standing above the water, she carefully waited for the water to roll away from the beach before stepping on one, water quickly surrounding it, not not reaching the top, Helena smiled back at Dom. She then moved onto another rock, careful not to fall, she knew there had to be a place nearby where some coral and seaweed will be, maybe some small fish, tiny fish actually. She loves those spots, they are basically like hiding places in the ocean, safe from the big predators out there. "Feel free to follow me" she said to him with a smile, pushing her hair behind her ear as she looked around, trying to find her next rock to step on. |

He could only play spectator as he followed suit, giving himself time to recollect his thoughts and play through dozens of scenarios that might happen. It helps him cope with things, to always have something on his mind. He didn't know why, maybe it helped him talk sometimes. Ever since things got back to normal, he felt his old self set in, the one that didn't talk, didn't care, and was just a little rock on the road.
He looked up to her when she mentioned a fish, and he got on a rock beside her, watching her closely, observing the fish. He only smiled and nodded "Never seen it before.. I'm used to those huge marlins and stuff, I guess." he shrugged. His Huck Finn like adventures had him watching the trolley boats as they brought back huge majestic creatures like great blue marlin and other exotic commercial fish eaten in today's finest restruants. He looked out to the sea with its gradually dieing waves. He looked back at the fish and asked "I wonder if it ever wonders whats outside of its home.." he said with a small shrug, taking a seat on the rock, his feet gently touching the water, the fish taking curiosity and observing the foreign object.

Helena was having a really good time at the moment; worries and pain away from her mind as she felt reconnected with herself with every second that passed. A smile on her lips while she looked around. With some luck Dom was going to be feeling at least slightly better, somewhat good. All of her friends had very different personalities, and all of her friends were amazing; so by now she knows how to be around each; although to be honest she is pretty certain she is the same way with everyone. But at least she knows the difficulties of everyone, she knows what some of them are going through and because of that she knows that Dom needs a day off, to be able to have fun, relax and enjoy the moment. She needs that as well, which is why she had decided to tell him to come here. It can't hurt to do this right? In fact it could only make things better. Yes, definitely better.
Hearing his voice she glanced back and noticed he was in fact, following her. It made her lighten up and so with that she nodded at his words. "I am not planning on falling" she said to him with a soft laugh before jumping to another rock, using her arms to balance her body. Sure it was slippery, but she has done this before, the tide is not high, waves are soft and smooth. This could work. Finally she reached one where she decided to stop and crouched down "Look, do you see that fish over there" she pointed to the small thing, swimming around. "Its called, celestial pearl danio" she added with a nod of her head. "Its really pretty" she added with a smile on her lips. She could lean lower, and use both of her hands to get some water and pick it up for Dom to look at it better, but she has always thought that doing that would be a little traumatic for the little fish. If it her her swimming around happily and suddenly someone grabbed her, she would almost die from fear, so she had learned not to do that, for when she was going she tended to do it on numerous occasions. |

Helena nodded a little as he spoke she guessed it was only normal for him to never had seen this type of fish before. It was rather nice to just stay here, at this very moment with just a friend, nothing really in her mind to make her worry about things. No work, no school, no love troubles. Just pure happiness and relaxation. This was definitely a good thing, and she hoped on some level that it was helping Dominik as well. He needs to relax, but she feels like she is always telling him to do that, and so maybe she ought to stop doing that and let him do what he wants to do; because after all, isn't that what she wants people to do with her? Everyone is always thinking she is this frail person and telling her what to do and what not, so maybe she should give Dom the same treatment she wants. If he wants to work then he should work, and all she can do is hope that he won't over do it.
"Maybe he doesn't even know there's more on the other side" Helena mentioned while she looked at the little fish and then moved to stand up,stretching her arms a little bit before moving to jump to another rock, she had to use her arms to get her balance back and then just stood there, turning to look at the ocean instead. Her eyes looked around, taking a deep breath while she feels the cold breeze. "Have you ever wanted to just wonder off into the distance?" she asked still looking away. "I have always loved yet feared the sea" she added, copying him as she too sat on the rock she had chosen and saw the water dangerously close to touching her. "It does seems a bit magical" her head tilted a little, a smile on her lips, even if she fears the sea she can't help but feel some sort of connection with it. It is a very inexplicable thing, but it is the way she feels. Maybe because of all the times she spend her afternoons with her grandfather near the beach, maybe because that is her hiding spot and nothing else seemed to make things right when they were so incredibly wrong. All she knows is that it helps her, it helps her so very much and all she wants is to stay here, and have a good time. Her smile grew a little as she turned to look at Dom, hoping she wasn't sounding to crazy at the moment. |

He knew that day would never come again, unless some higher being flung some girl at him that was perfect for him, but he knew that would never happen. He could say he's relaxed, but he'll never truly be. The only way for him to feel some sort of calmness is to light a smoke or drink a cold one. He knew he couldn't do that around Helena. As much as she was an angel, she'd been hit with some hard life changing stuff, and he didn't want to add another thing on her list.
He only listened quietly as she spoke, not really wanting to interrupt though, but she asked a question, for which he had to think. "All the time," he paused looking out into the horizon, he wanted to just run away from it all, start again someplace else. But he knew that it wouldn't happen "But something always stops me..." he shrugged slightly as she kept talking, he again didn't want to interrupt her thoughts, so he just stayed quiet, the fish now having to pick and choose between two pairs of these new things called feet.

Helena glanced at him and smiled; she needs to cheer up so he can cheer up and they can have a fun time rather them just sitting here and feeling like nothing was working for them. So she stood up and turned around to see the beach, she was here, with a friend; she needs to be happy. "Maybe because we have important people here, who care for us and we don't want to leave them behind" Helena knows that is the reason why she stays here. Her grandparents were working so much or her to be able to go to this school, that she was going to make them proud and not quit. She has made so many good friends that she cares for so leaving them behind is out of the question. She bit down her lower lip and then just turn around again, looking at the ocean.
At this moment she felt her feet slip when a larger wave came over; she gasped a little before falling; hitting the water which kicked away all the air from her lungs. The water was cold, really, really cold even with the sun shinning high in the sky. Helena came out for air as soon as possible, standing up as her tiptoes reached the bottom. She grabbed the rock to stop herself from floating away with the tie. Her body instantly began to shake as she looked around. "I think....my.... ba-balance....is a.... a .. bit.... off today..." she said between shakes and gasps. Her eyes looking over at Dom while she tried to smile despite the cold. How on earth had he managed to swim in this cold water when they first met? It made no sense to her at all. Another wave covered her and she held on to the rock a bit tighter, closing her eyes and holding her breath. Once the water was to the level of her neck she actually stretched out her hand to him. "Help me?" she asked, chuckling a little, not wanting to make this seem like a sad moment because it was actualy rather funny if one was to take away the cold factor of the entire thing. |

But considering how compatible he was, there was no hope. But he looked to her as she turned around, wondering what she was doing. He looked back down again, seeing the fish a bit jumpy. But when he heard a splash, he looked up to see Helena gone. He stood up quickly and looked to see her in the water.
He walked over, his balance returning from spring soccer training. Once she asked for help he had already extended his hand and chuckled slightly "I thought you wanted to go for a swim." he laughed softly as he reached farther, grasping one of her hands and carefully pulling her up to land. Once safe he sighed "Alright we overstayed our welcome, lets get back and eat..." he chuckled "All this heavy lifting is making me hungry." he said with a wink and a laugh, hoping she'd take that as a joke.

Cold. Too cold for her liking. She bit down her lower lip and then sighed. She was shaking and shaking badly because it was just way too cold at the moment. She was glad that Dominik was here with her because that means she will be able to get out of the water sooner than if she had been alone. Her hand was still stretched out for him to help her. It was funny though, and she did laughed when he spoke about swimming. That wasn't about to happen anytime soon but it had been good. As soon as he pulled her out, the wind caused her to shake even more; dang it; this was really not a pleasant thing to be feeling. "Oh gosh" she whispered, wanting nothing more than to run back to where they used to be so she could grab a towel...did they even have towels? She can't really remember.
She chuckled as he spoke "You are right, you did do some heavy lifting" Her arms moved and she took a grip of her sweatshirt and slipped it off, leaving just her soaked wet shirt underneath; it wasn't as heavy as the sweatshirt though so that was better in her mind. "Ok let's head back" her legs quickly moving as she began to head back to the shore, to the beautiful and dry shore where she could step on the sand and not slippery rocks. Slippery rocks are her favorite though, so she can't really complain for the entire thing had been her idea. "Ahhh! I don't know how you could do it in the middle of winter, I am freezing and it's not even as cold as the time you went swimming" there was laughter mixed with the words, because this was hilarious in her mind. She glanced back at him, to see if he was agreeing to her words or if he was actually following her. She missed the old Dom; the one who used to joke around, and she hopes he will be able to go back to it at some point. Everyone needs to try and see the Brightside, her included, but at the very least she was really trying to do so. Not that the rest weren't though. |

It wasn't hard for him to deal with the physical pain, the cold, the searing heat. But for someone as fragile as Helena, he felt almost bad for her. He had himself a jacket on, and he could easily give it to her, if he could catch up.
He didn't mean it literally when he said she was heavy, but he didn't have time to explain that it was, he had to get her warm. When he finally caught up to her, he only chuckled, he replied with a simple "I don't know either..." he shrugged, seeing the little encampment of theirs in the distance. Once they got near, he slowed down, and stopped, sitting down and taking off his jacket, seeing that there wasn't many towels, and the one they had was a joke of one. "Take it, You need it." he smiled softly as he looked up at her, the sun behind her casting a shadow over him.

Helena continued to walk, wanting to stop herself from staying still because staying still will end up making her feel even more cold. She had been considering surfing for the last couple of days but now she is ready to let that hold back until she is heading back to the lovely summer time when swimming is to break away from the warm weather rather than freezing out and inside the water. It had been funny though, she could only imagine how silly she most have seem when falling down to the water, usually she has a very good balance, she is quick with her feet, but not today; today it had all failed but in the end it wasn't something terrible so there was no real problem. A smile was still on her lips, because no matter what happens, today was a day to be happy and that is exactly what she is going to do. Hopefully Dom was having a good time as well; she hates seeing him sad, she hates seeing anyone sad to be honest. So as much as she wasn't feeling 100% right, what truly matters is him.
It seemed to her that most of the times she was out she ends needing someone else's jacket; maybe one day she won't end up with that having to happen. Even so it was very nice of him to offer so she sat down and took the jacket. "Thank you so much" her arms slowly moved in through the sleeves and closed it. It was rather warm due to the heat that had been soaked in from Dom's body heat. "This is much, much better" her eyes moved to the food they had and she began to sat properly. "Alright, we have the chicken you made, which I am sure it's amazing, and then we have some pasta that I got, thankfully not cooked from me so we are safe from food poisoning" after laughing she took the plates and the silverware, which was actually plastic and then two cans of soda, she also has water so he can pick which one he wants. "I think we have an amazing little picnic" her eyes glancing over at him for a few seconds. It was nice to be out with someone who wasn't constantly telling her what she could and couldn't do, who didn't questioned her decisions. |
